Frequently Asked Questions.

How much does it cost to hire an SEO consultant?

This will vary greatly between SEO consultants and SEO agencies and it will depend very much on whether you are a local service business or an eCommerce business. I can successfully rank clients with very basic SEO requirements in the top stops for $594 (including GST), however other consultants or agencies might not offer SEO services for less than $1,000. It doesn’t necessarily mean quality is better, they may just have a higher hourly rate to account for overheads or may spend longer on your account.

Have you been doing SEO for long?

I’ve been working with SEO for over 10 years and specialising in just Google Ads and SEO since 2016. So I’ve been doing it day in and day out since then.

How long does it take to see results and traffic growth?

This is something I get asked all the time and I just don’t think its right to offer an answer other than… it depends. It depends on so many variables. How long have your competitors being doing SEO? How strong is your link profile? How engaging is your website? How much content is on your site? Is your website technically sound? Where are you located?  The list goes on. You should start seeing improvements in the first couple of months but how long its going to take to get to number one I won’t know until I start getting to know your account. You should prepared for it to take 3-6 months before you start to see a return on investment.

Can’t I do my own SEO?

You can… if you have the time and knowledge. However, its not going to be a matter of watching a few YouTube videos. I’ve been specialising in SEO since 2016 and I still find I’m learning new things every day as Google and SEO tactics evolve. You’re going to need advanced link building know-how, technical knowledge of websites and 3rd party systems, on-page strategy, content strategy and best practice for Google My Business.
